LA 8 LA 10

Louisiana Highway 9 (LA 9) is a state highway that serves Natchitoches Parish, Bienville Parish, and Claiborne Parish in north Louisiana. It spans 100.42 miles (161.61 km), running a north–south route.

Route description

LA 9 begins at a junction with U.S. Route 71/U.S. Route 84 in Campti as a two lane, undivided road heading northeast. LA 9 continues through Black Lake, the Creston community, and Readhimer before it merges with Louisiana Highway 155 in Saline but splits when LA 155 turns westward, and LA 9 continues northward. LA 9 also intersects Louisiana Highway 4 in Lucky and Louisiana Highway 507 in Bienville. While in Bienville Parish, LA 9 runs through Bryceland and Arcadia. In Arcadia, LA 9 intersects Interstate 20 before entering Claiborne Parish. While in Claiborne Parish, LA 9 passes through Athens and Homer, where LA 9 intersects U.S. Route 79 and Louisiana Highway 2. LA 9 continues northward, where it ends at a merging with U.S. Route 167 in Junction City.
